Daniel Antal, CFA, is a data scientist and music valuation specialist. He is the founder of the Digital Music Observatory, and open knowledge and data sharing platform for music stakeholders, universities, NGOs, ministries, and the Listen Local system, which aims to make sure that global platform algorithms do not colonize the local music ecosystems. He has helped to improve the royalties collected and paid out in several countries, and created the Hungarian, Slovak, Croatian, and Central European Music Industry Reports to provide evidence-based policy and business strategy guidance for the music sector. He will talk about how to make sure that music from Kaunas or Vilnius will be actually heard and paid for among the visitors and habitants of these cities.
