Since the release of her first single i am not in 2021, boebeck has played on the stages of most Hungarian festivals, in the clubs of the country’s biggest cities as well as other European capitals like Bratislava, Zagreb, Vienna, and Brussels. The most important endeavour of the past years was the recording of her self-titled debut album, a project that resulted in a permanent band around the singer-songwriter. The band is in the process of writing their second album and will release an EP, lucky in Spring 2024.
The European acts boebeck has shared the stage with include Jann (PL), Just Mustard (UK), Sóley (IS), Meskerem Mees (BE), Mira Lu Kovacs (AT), Marjari (CZ), and most recently LUVVER (SK) and I Love You Honey Bunny (CZ). In terms of showcase festivals, boebeck has performed solo at BUSH 2022 in Budapest and WAVES Vienna 2021, with the band joining for the showcase appearances at MENT 2023 in Ljubljana and WAVES Vienna 2023. Their upcoming showcase shows for 2024 include Liverpool SoundCity and MMB Bucharest.
Following a successful 2023, the band is recording a new EP to be released in Spring 2024, following a successful tour in Central Europe with I Love You Honey Bunny (CZ) and LUVVER (SK). In February, in order to celebrate the first anniversary of their debut album, boebeck released a live session recording of three songs, everything from everyone, reality, and mirror. Boebeck’s songwriting is characterised by strong introspective will, but as the solo act evolved into a live band, the three new members brought further creative possibilities. Together, they attempt to say something about the world that is authentic and honest, telling stories about questions of identity, uncertainty, and naïveté.
