Briefly about the scene newcomer Palmės Žiedas. Growing up in Kaunas and being strongly influenced by different cultures, Jonas started producing at his fifteenths, but his relationship with music was always on an abstract level, which made his personal work artistic, floating, with no clear purpose. The album „Futura“ was inspired by the Lithuanian electronic club music culture, particularly by strong sense of modern hedonistic life. Palmės Žiedas has always felt a weakness for mid/late twentieth-century recording style, so often his work may seem domestic, too human. But these features only emphasize the melancholy sense of nostalgia of the modernist age.
